Social network sites (SNS) have created a new network-platform where individuals develop increased levels of social awareness by keeping in touch with one another, making new friends, access information as well as promote products/ideas. Presently, the use of internet has exponentially increased as the largest social media tool and thousands of platforms have become available through it. Popular sites such as facebook, twitter, myspace, flicker, badoo, 2go and whatsapps are used for many and various reasons. However, in spite of the multifarious efforts at social integration, there is unparallel abuse of these sites in recent times. This results to unprecedented crimes, fraud and abuse that characterize the use of SNS. This paper focuses on the use/abuse of SNS in Nigeria as captured by Eneaji Chris Eneng in his film, Murder at Prime Suites (2013).
